Solar direct mail that shows each homeowner their own roof.
Not a leaflet. A personalised letter with their own roof from above, panels drawn on, and what it could generate and save. We write, print and post it under your brand.
Why does solar direct mail work when leaflets do not?
The short answer: a leaflet is about nobody, so it gets binned. A letter about the homeowner's own roof makes them stop and think, and that is the moment your brand is noticed and remembered.
UK mail data from JICMAIL shows 65.4% of mail is opened and 77.1% is read or looked at, and it stays in the home for 7.4 days on average. Door drops average a 0.5% response rate and cold direct mail 0.9%, so relevance matters. Read the evidence in why postal marketing has more impact for solar.

Leaflet or letter?
| Leaflet drop | Solar Mailshot letter | |
|---|---|---|
| Personal to the home | No | Yes, their own roof and numbers |
| Who gets it | Every door on the round | Only roofs graded A+ to C that pass the viability check |
| Printing and posting | You arrange it | We do it for you |
| Cost per piece | Pence | £1.30 to £2.50 per credit, one credit per letter |
A personalised letter costs more per piece than a leaflet, so the saving comes from not paying to reach homes that can't buy.
Three ways to use it
- Targeted Mailshot: reach a new area. Search a postcode or target up to 30 miles, choose the strongest roofs by grade, and each home you mail is reserved for you for 6 months.
- Tell the Neighbours: mail the homes around a finished install, up to 500m away.
- Mail Your Own List: upload a CSV of old enquiries or expired quotes. We check the roofs, produce the same personalised letter, and delete your list 30 days after mailing.
What it costs
Credits currently cost between £1.30 and £2.50 each, and one credit pays for one printed and posted letter. Bigger packages cost less per letter. There is no subscription, no contract and no minimum commitment. Pricing is provisional while fulfilment costs and VAT are confirmed.
