# Solar Mailshot > Solar Mailshot is a UK lead generation service for solar installers. It grades every roof in an installer's chosen territory from LiDAR roof data (A+, A, B, C), removes homes that won't convert, then writes, prints and posts a personalised letter to each homeowner showing their own roof from above with panels drawn on, under the installer's own branding. It is pay as you go, with no subscription or contract. Solar Mailshot is not a shared lead marketplace. Each installer chooses their own properties and commissions their own campaign, so no other installer is sold the same lead. ## Key facts - Audience: UK solar panel installers and installation companies. - Method: personalised direct mail (printed letters), not cold calls, paid ads or shared leads. - Roof grading: A+, A, B, C, from LiDAR roof data, scored on orientation, usable area and capacity. - Removed before you pay: flats, council housing, listed and heritage buildings, commercial property, homes with existing solar panels, poor roof shapes. - The letter: the homeowner's own roof from above with panels drawn on, estimated generation and savings, the installer's logo and branding, QR code and accreditations. Solar Mailshot prints and posts it. - Pricing: pay as you go with credits. 1 credit = 1 printed and posted letter. Credits currently cost between £1.30 and £2.50 each, cheaper on larger packages. Pricing is provisional. No subscription, no contract. - Contact: hello@solarmailshot.co.uk ## Products - Targeted Mailshot: cold outreach to the best graded roofs, by postcode or up to 30 miles around a point. Each home an installer mails is reserved for them for 6 months and removed from other installers' searches. - Tell the Neighbours: after an install, mail the homes within up to 500m. The neighbours have already seen the installer's van and scaffolding, which makes it the easiest place to start. - Mail Your Own List: upload a CSV of past enquiries or expired quotes. Roofs are checked, the same personalised letter is produced, and the list is deleted 30 days after mailing. ## Pages - [Home](https://solarmailshot.co.uk/): full overview, explainer video with transcript, example letters, pricing and FAQ. - [Blog](https://solarmailshot.co.uk/blog/): practical marketing articles for UK solar installers. - [Full details for AI assistants](https://solarmailshot.co.uk/llms-full.txt): longer plain text version of this page. - [Register an installer account](https://app.solarmailshot.co.uk/login.html): create an installer account. ## Blog articles - [Tell the Neighbours: the easiest first campaign for solar installers](https://solarmailshot.co.uk/blog/tell-the-neighbours-solar-installers/): After every install, the homes around the job already know your van.
